You know, they complain about Blurred Lines but say nothing about the billion-dollar romance novel imagery that caters to directly to women.
And feminists act like “sexualization” is a one-way street. That’s their one-way view of the world. They need this one-way narrative to justify their Victim Complex. And their neurotic demands on society.
Only women are sexualized? Oh really.
There was post on here with a comedian saying men like to watch porn while women prefer to read it. As usual I barely had a chance to laugh before I saw some feminist declare that it was because men were empty and shallow and didn’t think of them as people while women were complex and intelligent and wanted to know the character inside and out, know what they were thinking and feeling on a deep and personal level and so on. They turned a simple, amusing observation into a way to insult and shame men.
Ah, yes. Romance novels and their very complex and deep storytelling. Surely the best selling novels must be masterpieces of literature, rivaling our greatest classics - catering to the complex and intelligent women who wanted to know their characters at a truly deep level.
Oddly enough the comedian was referring to that very book.
Which is why it was so funny to me, it’s so much worse, at least you get to actually see porn.
